Pune: Diamond Parks, an ISO 9001:2015 certified leading entertainment destination in Pune and a recipient of the Eldrok and EGN India awards, proudly supported the Primary School Maharashtra League, recently held at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Boys Military School & College, Phulgaon, Pune. The Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Association of Maharashtra organized the league in collaboration with Athletes in Action and was supported by the Anjaneya Sathe Group.
The league aims to provide a competitive platform for young athletes from various regions of Maharashtra, fostering grassroots sports development. In line with Diamond Parks’ commitment to empowering youth through sports, the league witnessed enthusiastic participation. The Pune Gramin team secured first place, the Pune City team came in second, and the Nashik and Pimpri-Chinchwad teams jointly claimed third place.
Mr. Arjun Indulkar, President of the Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Federation of India and Managing Director of Diamond Parks, inaugurated the event, referred to as Children’s Special Week by Diamond Parks. Other prominent attendees included Mr. Anjaneya Sathe, President of the Primary School Indigenous Sports Association of Maharashtra; Mr. Deepak Arde, Organizing Director of the Primary School Maharashtra League 2024; and Dr. Wilson Andrews, Secretary of the Primary Schools Indigenous Sports Federation of India. A total of nine teams from Nagpur, Parbhani, Buldhana, Jalgaon, Nashik, and the Pune region made a remarkable showing in the league.
During the closing ceremony, dignitaries commended the commitment and performance demonstrated by the athletes. They also offered insights into the league and provided valuable guidance to the participants.
Arjun Indulkar highlighted that Diamond Parks’ involvement in the event underscores its ongoing dedication to nurturing local talent. He emphasized the transformative power of sports in building character, leadership, and teamwork among youth. Supporting the Maharashtra League is one of the ways Diamond Parks is creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes.
The event was widely praised by participants, parents, and coaches for its seamless execution and the positive impact it had on the young athletes. Overall, the three-day event was deemed a resounding success, Indulkar added.
